Yes and no. You can make the classic preparation of this recipe with a make shift double boiler of a bowl suspended over a pot of boiling water, or, use an immersion blender. I lean towards the immersion blender technique simply because it’s quick, fast and kind of fool proof . . . .
Can this recipe be made ahead?
Only prepare this recipe up to 1 hour prior to serving and it must be kept warm while it sits. The butter must stay emulsified in the sauce and, if refrigerated, the butter will harden and break when re-heated.
