Making your own bone broth is easier than you think. This recipe uses the crockpot, so most of the cooking is happening while you are doing other things. Always keep some homemade both broth in your freezer. It’s a chef’s self defense weapon!

Special Equipment for this recipe?

A crockpot. You could also make this recipe on the stovetop with a really good quality dutch oven or pot.

You’ll also need a double walled strainer and some mason jars for storing.

Can this recipe be made ahead?

Yes! The broth cooks for 24 hours, but once cooked and strained, the broth can be used right away or stored in the fridge for up to 1 week, or, the freezer for up to 3 months.

Can this recipe be frozen?

Yes! I keep bone broth in my freezer at all times!
